Thank you for supporting MSK Giving Day!
MSK Giving Day is a celebration of how our community makes the impossible possible. Whether you’re a Fred’s Team runner, Cycle for Survival participant, or loyal supporter, you fund critical research and care at MSK.
Your support is revolutionizing cancer treatment and care
- Pioneering CAR T cell therapy: MSK scientists engineered a way to train a person’s own immune cells to attack cancer. Originally developed to treat blood cancer, it’s now being adapted for solid tumors like breast and ovarian cancer – with new research showing it can shrink tumors and even clear metastases.
- Earning FDA Breakthrough Therapy Designation for the immunotherapy drug dostarlimab (Jemperli), following an MSK rectal cancer clinical trial in which 100% of participants saw their tumors disappear without chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery. This research has now been expanded to treat other cancers, including stomach, esophagus, liver, endometrium, urinary tract, and prostate.
And together, we are making the impossible possible
- Helping create the first-ever personalized mRNA-based vaccine for pancreatic cancer, an approach now showing once-unimaginable results, bringing us one step closer to unlocking treatments for other difficult to treat cancers.
- Advancing precision medicine with MSK-IMPACT®, the first FDA-authorized test of its kind, analyzing more than 500 genes to match patients with targeted treatments based on their tumor’s unique genetic profile.
Powering progress as a community
Each MSK Giving Day, people from almost every state donate to propel breakthroughs in critical areas of cancer research and care. Together, we are committed to doing even more.
Fueling innovation
Ingo Mellinghoff, MD, Chair of Neurology at MSK, is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible for brain cancer treatment. His team led the clinical trial for the first new FDA-approved therapy in 20 years for low-grade diffuse gliomas.
